NEXT EQUIP COHORT STARTING October 2024
What does it mean to lead yourself and your life well? How can you create healthy habits, relationships, and spiritual disciplines to use the time you’ve been given well? How can you have confidence in who God created you to be and how you fit into His plan on this Earth? All of this takes great intentionality.
We have created an intentional pathway to help you grow in the some key competencies of self leadership. We call it Equip 1.0. Through studying scripture, online video training and twice a month cohort meetings, we will take a deep dive into the following areas:
– Living with emotional & spiritual health & strength
– Understanding your strengths in relationships
– Becoming empowered in your walk with Christ
– And more…

PAULA R. –
I thought I knew all about myself, I should at my age. I thought I knew all about who God was, I have known Him for a very long time. I thought I knew what God wanted to do with my life, I had been working for Him in lots of ways. Then, I took Equip! I found out so much more! God revealed myself to me in all the ups and downs in my life. God showed Himself to me again by how He was my loving Father, my constant Brother and Friend in Jesus, and my Lover in the Holy Spirit. God helped me to see how all that He was teaching me could be used in a much deeper and more meaningful way to help others.

Where to begin? Let’s start in the valley! From the absolute first day I started, I started to figure out what makes people grow and what makes them stagnant. I remembered all these suppressed feelings and thoughts from the past 30+ years. Good and not so good. I truly haven’t thought about them until then. And they came to light and dove right into them and got them unpacked.
Through the Cohort I found out about who I am with God. I found more of purpose in life. I have found my strengths and weaknesses. I most certainly have my struggles Each day, but we have taken those thoughts Captive and handed them over to God. I have became closer to Him. It has also showed me how to be the leader that is needed in the world. To help pull people through their needs, Bringing them along.

The year commitment was a tough one at first, but it opened up nicely and the conversations were absolutely fabulous. And Bam, it was over. I most sincerely looked forward to each time we had one.
CARLA A. –
Typically, “introverted”, I could safely say that I live my life inside my mind. With that, I have always struggled with discerning my own voice, the enemy’s voice, and God’s voice. I often fought with myself through decisions, minor and significant, because -through all the mud- I couldn’t hear what God’s will as for me. I frequently stood at the doors or kicked them down without listening (or trying to listen) to God’s voice. Before I went through Equip, I would have described myself as passive and unsure in recognizing God’s will. Now that I have completed Equip, I describe myself as confident and active in seeking God’s will for my life, accepting his will, whether I like it or not, and carrying it through. I had never heard God’s voice so clear in all my Christian life and it brings an indescribable amount of peace in my heart.
Through Equip I went through a process of self-discovery. During this process it was made clear how my life experiences shaped my habits (good and bad), my personality (good and bad), and my identity. I figured out what made me, me, and how God can use my trials, failures, and victories to help others find fulfillment in their own. Do not let fear of any reason hold you back from freedom. I encourage you to commit 2% of your time every other week to this journey, you will learn something-if nothing about yourself, about God.
CHUCK H. –
Taking the Equip Cohort class is one of the best things I have ever done in my life. When I was thinking about doing it, I thought it would probably be way over my head. I was very wrong. Equip helped me to realize a lot of my problems were the wounds I had in my life and more important the ones I caused to a lot of people. I thought I could never forgive myself for the things I had done and the people I had hurt. We learned about the peaks and valleys that we all have had in our lives.
After going through this class, working more closely with God, finding out how much He loves me and forgives me for what I have done, I feel more comfortable talking with people about Jesus and the Bible. I was always afraid I would say the wrong thing or say something dumb when talking to the kids in our youth group, but this class has really helped me. I really love the kids and am able to talk more easily with them. I highly recommend this class. It was a blessing and I can’t even tell you how much it has helped me and changed my life.
JENI F. –
I would most definitely say that Equip is a journey that everyone should seriously consider going through. Just the first part where we discover more about ourselves and why we think the way we do and respond the way we do was so worth it. Through this experience, I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone more and even totally changed my career path, because of being sensitive to God’s leading. The time and effort that was put into developing the material is evident and I truly believe this can be a life changing journey. You get out of it what you put into it and if you are willing to go deep, it’ll change you!
