Why do Small Groups exist?
Small groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We
believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why small groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
What are Small Groups?
A small group is an intentional gathering of people where you can connect with others from the church for encouragement, prayer, and Bible study. Each Small Group has at least 2 of the following: Bible reading, Prayer, Worship, or Serving. Most groups use the discussion guides that go deeper into what we learn during our Sunday Worship Gatherings.
What kinds of Small Groups are available?
There are many kinds of groups at New Hope: Families, Singles, Couples, Men’s, Women’s, Recovery, etc… Wherever we have a leader there will be a Small Group. If you’re interested in leading a Small Group, we’d love to have you go through “Equip”, which is our leadership and discipleship training process for Small Group leaders.
Why should I join a Small Group?
It is through doing life together that our problems become smaller and God uses others to bring healing, support and encouragement to our lives—whether we realize we need it or not. Pastor Tim always says “when life goes sideways, you don’t need a good sermon, you need a SOMEONE in your life”. Your small group will quickly become a place where others don’t just know your name, but care about what is happening in your life.
