DOMINICAN REPUBLIC TRIP 2023
Saturday 10/14
4:00am – leave Church for Airport
5:00am – Arrive at airport, check-in, security
6:30am – Plane Departs Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale
2:50pm – Arrive in Santo Domingo, DR
- tour of the Old City
- dinner in the city – Villar Hermanos
- go to village and get settled in dorms

- Church, local food delivery / pray at village homes, ministry overview, rest
Monday 10/16
- Morning devotions, work projects, English class support
Tuesday 10/17
- Morning devotions by New Hope (10 mins), work projects / English support in the morning, TIME ministry / trash dump visit in the afternoon
Wednesday 10/18
- Morning devotions by New Hope (10 mins), VBS couple hours in morning (K-6, 300 kids), work projects in afternoon, Church service
Thursday 10/19
- Morning devotions by New Hope (10 mins), VBS couple hours in morning (k-6, 300 kids), work projects in afternoon
Friday 10/20 – La Romana
7:30am – Leave school
9:15am – arrive at AirBnB in La Romana, drop off luggage
9:30am – Compassion transportation Picks us up
10:00am – Arrival in the project + meet participants, mothers, and tutors + start to catch up with the participants with the help of translators.
11:00am – Home visit at participants houses (the ones from the DR0540) The ones from other projects, continue to reconnect at the project. – Updates on the family + Share prayer requests + Sponsors give the family a bag with groceries prepared by the project.
12:00pm – Lunch time at the project. Sponsors, participants, mothers, translators and tutors get back to the project and share a meal together.
1:00pm – Finish lunch time and play at the project’s park with the participants. It could be playing a game + playing with the balls or coloring some drawings.
2:30pm – Farewell- Ending prayer + group picture + goodbyes.
3:30pm – Arrive at AirBnB, rest
Saturday 10/21
- R&R at the Airbnb, 10min walk to beach, possible Prosthetics ministry overview
Sunday 10/22
4:30am – Leave AirBnB
5:45am – Arrive at Airport
7:17am – Flight departs for Orlando
10:15am – Land in Orlando
- WE HAVE A LONG LAYOVER
- Leave airport – Van rental to drive into Orlando
- visit Disney Springs (shopping, restaurants, fun, relaxing Disney vibe)
9:20pm – Flight departs Orlando
11:57pm – Arrive in Cleveland
1:00am – Arrive at Church in Wooster
