MAY 2017 NEWSLETTER:
***The Greater Wayne County Food Pantry (807 Spruce St) needs volunteers every week. The volunteer times are Wednesdays 10:30 – 3:00 and Thursdays 4:30 – 8:00.
People that volunteer with us must be:
– at least 12 years old (12-15 year olds must have a legal guardian/parent present)
– able to stay the entire shift (we cannot have people come and go during the shift)
– able to stand on your feet up to 4 hours (there is always some time to sit but not usually often)
– able to lift up to 10 lbs
If you would like to volunteer, please just show up before 10:30 on Wednesdays or 4:30 on Thursdays and park in the designated area for volunteers. On Wednesdays, D&S has given us permission to park in the space that is directly across the street from our parking lot. Please do not park in their parking lot that is Northwest of the building, just the one that is designated for us directly across from our parking lot. On Thursdays, The Hard Hat Restaurant has given us permission to use their parking lot, which is just past our building on the same side of the street. If you are not sure and you have any questions about parking, please see myself or our pantry manager, Wendy Liebhart upon arrival. Thank you to D&S and Hard Hat Restaurant for their use of their parking lot.

Donation Needs:
Our greatest need is monetary donations. Our monthly budget is $4,200. Thanks to your support we are the largest food pantry in Wayne County providing between 80,000 – 100,000 lbs of food monthly with at least 40,000 lbs of it being FRESH PRODUCE!!

Hygiene Needs:

Our 3 greatest needs for this month are Laundry Detergent (POWDER ONLY), Shampoo, & Diapers Sizes 1 & 5 only. If you can help with those items please drop off at the Hope Center (807 Spruce St) on Tuesdays between 8:00 – 11:30, Wednesdays 9:00 – 3:00, Thursdays 3:00 – 8:00, and/or Fridays 9:30 – 12:00.
